Fitness and bodybuilding, two activities wrongly labeled

I hear all the time these days many people that put fitness and bodybuilding at different opposite positions and labels them wrongly. Expressions like: fitness is just for ladies, bodybuilding is just for men pumped up on steroids, in fitness you train with small weights and you do many exercises, or that people that practice bodybuilding are neanderthals with a small brain… all these are myths, ugly more or less, unfounded and with no real foundations. The notions are much more complex, there are so many interconnections …

I will tell you about both sports, as clear and concise as possible, in order to clarify as much aspects as possible.
